DART 2025: What a Year!

As we look back on 2025, it’s impossible not to feel proud of everything we achieved together at DART. It has truly been a year defined by connection, compassion, and community, and we couldn’t have done it without our incredible service users, staff, volunteers, and partners.

Throughout the year, we continued to work across our amazing community, supporting our service users to get out and about and enjoy their independence. From everyday shopping trips to special days away, hospital visits to some of life’s most meaningful moments, weddings and funerals included. 2025 was certainly an eventful year. Each journey told a story, and every trip reinforced why accessible, reliable transport makes such a difference.

Listening and learning remained at the heart of what we do. Our focus groups played a vital role in shaping our services, giving both service users and staff the opportunity to share ideas, feedback, and experiences. These open conversations helped us reflect, improve, and ensure DART continues to meet the needs of the people we support.

Some of the year’s most memorable moments came from our community outings. One particular highlight was taking our team and service users to Hotel Chocolat, a day filled with smiles, shared experiences, and (of course) plenty of chocolate. Trips like these are about more than just the destination, they’re about confidence, independence, and enjoying life together.

During Loneliness Awareness Week, we were proud to bring generations together by working with local primary school children, who wrote beautiful, thoughtful cards for our older service users. The joy and connection created through these small gestures made a lasting impact and reminded us all of the power of community.

Behind the scenes, our staff were just as busy. We invested time in training, development, and team building, ensuring our team felt supported and connected. From essential training sessions to team-building days, including a fun bowling outing! It was fantastic to see colleagues from across the organisation come together, strengthening relationships that carry through into our everyday work.

2025 was a busy year in every sense, and it’s clear that DART continues to grow, not just in size, but in heart. With so many exciting plans ahead, we’re looking forward to building on everything we’ve learned and achieved.
