"I can’t believe a service like this exists"

“I didn’t know how I was going to get there… my son always brought me, but he passed away recently.”
On 30th May, our Access Plus service supported a lady from Banbridge with free transport to the Mater Hospital in Belfast. She told us:
“I didn’t think I was eligible. I had no idea how I was going to get it sorted. Who else could have left me and stayed with me for two hours? It was a big problem and such a worry for me.”
Thanks to our driver Phil, her journey was calm, safe, and stress-free:
“Everything was lovely. Phil was lovely. Honestly, it couldn’t have been better. I can’t believe a service like this exists, the people are so kind. I’m so grateful.”
Her message to others?
“It’s amazing. It took all the stress and worry away. Services like this are 100% needed. Thank you to all the staff, you’re amazing.”
Access Plus makes sure no one misses essential hospital care just because they can’t get there. That’s what community transport is all about.
