More Than a Minibus! 🚐 Share Your Story with DART

This year’s Community Transport Week theme is “More Than a Minibus.” It’s a theme that couldn’t be closer to our hearts here at DART. Because what we do has never just been about getting from A to B. It’s about people. It’s about connection. It’s about giving individuals and families the freedom, independence, and reassurance they deserve.

Every journey tells a story, whether it’s someone travelling to a hospital appointment, a group visiting a day centre, or simply a neighbour meeting a friend for coffee. Behind every trip, there is a person, and behind every person there is a reason why community transport matters.

That’s why this year, we want to shine a spotlight on the real stories that make our service so special.

We’re Inviting You to Share Your Experience

If you or a loved one has used DART, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for people willing to take part in a relaxed 1:1 chat, either in our office or over a coffee. ☕️ We are having an open coffee morning from 9-12 on 13th October and would love for you to come along for a chat.

This could involve:

• A short video or interview

• Sharing written feedback

• Having your photo taken alongside your story

• Just popping in for a chat, whatever you are comfortable with

You don’t need to prepare anything just come and share what DART has meant to you or a loved one.

Community Transport Week isn’t just about celebrating services like ours, it’s also about raising awareness with local politicians, decision-makers, and the wider community. We want to show that our work is about far more than minibuses or vehicle types. It’s about finding the right fit for people’s unique needs and ensuring no one is left behind.
